One of the biggest and most highly advanced mall in Lima is Jockey Plaza. We have great luck that it is located about 5-minutes away from our school. In the Innovation Academy it is believed that there is no better way to learn that actually seeing it outside of the classroom and for our marketing unit, this is exactly what we needed.Our first task when we arrived to Jockey was to check for advertisements that really stood out and really analyze the use of colors and locations which the ads where displayed.
In order for us to fully analyze a advertisement, we need to focus on four things:
Context - What goes inside the advertisement? | Purpose What is the intended message that it is trying to transmit? | Audience Who is the targeted audience? Age group. | Technique In what way is the advertisement transmitted, video, image? |
Some outstanding ads, which I greatly admired that I say in jockey where, Nike, Adidas and Zara. They use a simple yet outstanding technique to transmit their intended message towards the audience. Something else, which I learned, was that each store has to pay for each square2. This makes each store use their space in a much smarter way.
