World famous Harry Bliss came to the Innovation Academy today! Harry, is a cartoonist that does many of the covers from The New Yorker. It was such a GREAT pleasure to see such an icon from the cartoon world. When he arrived to class, he seemed as a completely relaxed and friendly guy. He gave us a one hour presentation about what he does and how he got to this great world of cartoons. I asked him all sorts of questions which he seemed very glad to answer! One of the most outstanding parts from his presentation is when he told us that although his job as drawing cartoons was not the most financially stable job, he still pursued his passion for drawing. He even had to be a waiter for many years in order to be financially sustainable. This really open up a lot of doors in my head, I though, this guy is noun all around the world and even though he new that drawing was not the most paid job there was, he still continued doing it and if he had to work additional hours outside his studio, he would do it. I believe Harry is a great guy and he taught me many things which I will never forget. With passion, enthusiasm and commitment, anything is possible!!
