Three days, one pitch, one idea, and one solution. On Monday (11), we had a very important task in our hands. Mr. Topf, told us to pitch an idea. This could be any about problem in school or outside. The idea chosen by the class would be funded by Mr. Topf in order to grow. When creating my idea I was inspired by his pitch about a coffee shop inside a metal container at school. This coffee shop would be managed, served, built and financed by us. It was hard to think about a different idea once I heard his very persuading pitch; however, it made us realize that we need to think outside of the box like him.
My head was thinking of ideas ever since. While I was going home I was thinking about my pitch and also while swimming training. We humans get our best ideas when we were relaxed. The day after -- still undecided about an idea-- I thought about uniting the three social classes, major problem here in Peru.
You may be wondering how can I do that. And I was too when I thought about this idea, but I thought about the most simple yet successful event ever, a day-long festival. As the title might explain, the You Festival is a day-long event that entails music, culture and food. I've realized that there are many different bands around Lima with great potential to grow, however, their are not given the chance to be in the big stage. Moreover, as we all might know, The Beatles did not reach their success from a day to another, instead, small doors opened up for them at different times. I want to do that, I want to be able to open doors to people and give them a chance to grow.

THE YOU FESTIVAL
Regarding culture, I believe that when uniting three different social classes at the same place we truly embrace the culture. It's not only the higher or lower class that show the culture but all peruvians together. As mentioned previously, music will be present at the You Festival, but that sense of culture will also be present by dances, paintings, the people, and even in food. As we all know (specially peruvians), our food here is amazing and that is what unites us better. We have a great diversity.
Of course, success does not happen from a day to another, but it does begin with a step. If carefully analyzing my idea I believe that it will be an initiative to bond the three social classes. In regards to feasibility, viability and desirability I believe that in the Innovation Academy we have so much talent, potential and hard work to create this event and make it successful.
